What hours are you open?

Rooms are available for booking 9am-4pm, including setting up and clearing down time. It
may, on some occasions, be possible to extend this until 5pm.

Question 2

What size is the room and how many people can it accommodate?

Accepted Answer

The room can accommodate a maximum of 40 people seated and 79 people standing, including children and babies. The room is 9.65m wide and 7.6m long.

Question 3

What is the cost of the room hire?

Accepted Answer

£20 per hour. If the hire time is exceeded by 30 minutes or more, before or after your booking time,  an additional charge will be applied.

How do we pay?

Full payment is required within five working days of booking. Payments should be made by BACS.

Question 5

Is there a cancellation fee?

Accepted Answer

If you cancel your booking more than four weeks before your meeting or event, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your booking less that four weeks before, you will not receive a refund.

Where does the profit go for the room hire?

Accepted Answer

The Woodgate Hub is run by St Catherine's Hospice. All profit generated from the Hub goes to the hospice so we can continue providing specialist end of life care across West Sussex and East Surrey. To find out more about St Catherine's, visit the hospice website.(https://www.stch.org.uk/)

What food and drink facilities do you have?

Accepted Answer

There are no kitchen facilities or access to water on site. The use of kettles, microwaves, or any other cooking appliances is not permitted.

You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks; however, alcohol is not allowed on the premises.

We are unable to provide catering. Food and refreshments can be purchased from the café, subject to prior notice to the café operator (contact details are available on request). Alternatively, you may arrange catering independently through a provider of your choice.

Do you have a sound system?

No, but you are welcome to bring your own. We ask that you are respectful with the volume to avoid disturbing customers of the café and the residents who live above the Hub.

Question 9

Can we open the bifold doors leading to outside?

Accepted Answer

Yes, however if the room is left unoccupied the Woodgate Hub and St Catherine's Hospice will take no responsibility for property. Doors must be closed and locked after the event.

Can we put up decorations?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but please use the windows only. Please do not stick anything on the walls.

Question 11

What equipment can you provide?

Accepted Answer

We have tables and chairs available, which is included in the room hire. These are stored in the equipment cupboard and should be cleaned and returned at the end of your booking.

Question 12

Can we have a bouncy castle?

Accepted Answer

No, but soft play equipment is permitted.
